Mission Statement
Strengthen the local economy and enhance the quality of life for local citizens by creating a desirable business climate with a decided emphasis upon fostering commercial & retail development opportunities.
 
The City of Glenn Heights is a small bedroom community located about twenty miles south of Dallas. The City sits in two counties, Dallas and Ellis and serves two school districts. In the southern portion of the City is Red Oak Independent School District and in the northern portion of the City is Desoto Independent School District. Both school districts provide excellent education for K-12 grades and have been rated recognized by the Texas Education Agency.
 
Our City is also, a member of Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and has a ride and shuttle service and DART on-call service located at Bear Creek and Interstate 35. This service provides additional ride and share opportunities for citizens.
